DAVENPORT, Emma Sutherlin - Putnam

Mrs. Emma Davenport, 68, well known local resident, died at the home of her son Lee Webb near Waverly Monday evening following an illness of six weeks. She had been at her son's home the past several weeks. Her condition became serious Friday of last week. Mrs. Davenport was born near here October 21, 1871, a daughter of Eliza and Elizabeth Triplett Sutherlin. She had been a member of the local Christian church. In addition to the son at whose home she died, the survivors include another son Walter Webb of near Russellville; three brothers; Judge William Sutherlin of Greencastle, Guy Sutherlin of Morton and Roy Sutherlin of Crawfordsville; four sisters; Mrs. Ada Hodge of Belle Union, Mrs. William Myers of Russellville, Mrs. Ollie Clifford of Judson and Mrs. Dollie Harbison of near here, and thirteen grandchildren. Funeral services were held this afternoon at the Chastain funeral home here.
