CURTIS, Eliza Jane - Putnam

DIED – CURTIS – Of consumption Friday morning March 5, 1869 Mrs. Eliza Jane wife of James A. Curtis aged 34 years. Mrs. Curtis was a daughter of JEM O’Hair, Esq. She joined the Methodist church at the age of 12 and having lived a consistent Christian life, she died full of hope of future immortality and happiness. She leaves two children aged 2 and 5 years. The funeral sermon was preached by Dr. Bowman at Roberts Chapel of which church she was a member on Sunday morning and in the afternoon her remains were interred at Brick Chapel five miles north of Greencastle.
