CURRY, Mildred Gertrude - Putnam

Mildred Gertrude Curry, daughter of Will and Mildred Curry was born in Russellville, Indiana, May 24, 1907 and died at Portland Mills August 20, 1908 aged 1 year 2 months 26 days. Little Mildred was left motherless at the age of 14 days, her mother passing away June 8, 1908. Mildred was laid to rest by her mother's side in the Russellville Cemetery. The funeral services were conducted in the Christian Church by the Rev. JC Ashley of Indianapolis.  Mildred was a lovely child, sweet and gentle in disposition although of delicate constitution and the care she needed only endeared her to those who cared for her.  But all that willing hand and loving hearts could do was of no avail.  She died in the arms of her uncle Walker Porter who had taken her at her mother's death to raise as his own but she is now in the care of one "who doeth all things well," and in the language of the Poet we can say, go to thy rest fair child...
