Sudden Death of L.S. Cumback
A special From Iowa City, Iowa, dated June 28, says: L.S. Cumback, the son of ex-Gov. Cumback of Indiana, was found dead in his bed at the St. James hotel this evening. He was traveling for a Boston house and has been in Iowa City about a week, during which time he drank to excess. Cerebral congestion was the immediate cause of his death.
Mr. Cumback was well known in this city where he had a host of friends. He graduated from DePauw in 1875, and was in business in this city in 1882-83. His remains will arrive here tomorrow for interment, his wife and two children being buried here. A little son, who resides with his grandmother, Mrs Dr. Hopwood, survives him.
