ROACHDALE – John M. Culver, 70, retired, of Roachdale, died of a heart attack Saturday afternoon after parking his station wagon on a Waveland street. The Montgomery County sheriff's department, which was called shortly before 2 p.m., reported Mr. Culver apparently had removed his car keys before suffering the seizure. The report said Russell Powers, Montgomery County coroner, ruled he died of a coronary occlusion. Born March 11, 1905, Mr. Culver was a son of Jacob and Martha Jane Culver. Surviving are his widow, Rosie; three daughters, Mrs. Marilyn Hilgendorf, Mrs. Jerry White and Mrs. Norma Heed, all of Flint, Mich.; a brother, Orville, and sister, Bessie Culver of Frankfort; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Kaye Clampitt of Bainbridge and Mrs. Carolyn Moore of Franklin; three stepsons, Jerry Ball of Crawfordsville, Stanley Mace of Roachdale and Orville Ball of Tuston, Mich.; 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and 14 step-grandchildren. Services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Perkins Funeral Home here. Friends may call at the funeral home. Interment will be in Russellville Cemetery. – jlr
