In the death of Mr. John Culross, which occurred at the Indianapolis Hospital for the Insane on last Friday night, our city has lost a very valuable citizen.  Mr. C, who was the senior member of the firm of Culross and McIntosh, stone cutters, has been a citizen of our place about three years, during which time he has taken an active part in all business enterprises and proven himself a valuable member of the community. For the last few months he has been engaged in rebuilding our town and the continuous labor has been so exhaustive, both physically and mentally that his health finally gave way. For three or four weeks he has been quite unwell and a few days before his death the disease began to affect his mind.  On Monday the 13th inst he was taken to the Hospital at Indianapolis but they could do him no good and he rapidly sank and died on Friday night as above stated.  His remains were brought home and interred with Masonic rites at Forest Hill Cemetery last Monday at 3 p.m.
