The death of Robert Crow, age 51, one of Putnam County’s most prominent stock dealers and farmers, occurred at his home just northeast of here Wednesday morning at 9 o’clock following a short illness of pneumonia. Mr. Crow had been ill for only a week, but his condition had been serious from the time his illness began. Several months ago Mr. Crow met with a serious accident when he was crushed between two traction cars in Terre Haute. He was confined to the hospital and to his home for weeks and during part of his illness his life was despaired of by his relatives and friends. Finally, however, he overcome to effects of his injuries sufficient to be out and around but his health was great impaired and when pneumonia developed he was not able to withstand it. Beside his sister, Miss Fannie Crow who has made her home on his farm, he leaves four other sisters, Mrs. PK Dobyns of Franklin; Mrs. RL Westover of Okmulgee, Okla; Mrs. JH Hamilton of Artesian, SD and Mrs. Lizzie Hamilton of Greencastle. Two brothers, EH Crow and Hanson Crow of Kansas survive. Miss Fannie Crow who had visiting her sister in Franklin was called home Tuesday by the serious illness of her brother. Dr. and Mrs. PK Dobyns of Franklin were with Mrs. Crow during the greater part of of his illness. - kbz

The funeral of Robert Crow, a prominent farmer and stock buyer of this vicinity, was held in the home northeast of the city Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock. Dr. Hilliary A. Gobin of the university had charge of the services. The interment was in the Forest Hill cemetery. The pall-bearers were Andrew Black, Edward Black, William M. Houck, Charles K. Butcher, John W. Stoner and Andrew Hirt. - kbz
