Mrs. Eva E. Crosby, native of Putnam County who had lived her entire life in this community, died at her home here early Saturday morning following an extended illness. She ws 89 years of age. Mrs. Crosby was born in Putnam County near Roachdale Nov 16, 1863, the daughter of HM Edwards and Amanda Goslin Edwards. She was married Sept 27, 1883 to Charles Crosby of Roachdale. Mrs. Crosby was a member of the Roachdale Presbyterian Church and Order of Eastern Star. Mr. Crosby died July 7, 1952. Survivors of Mrs. Crosby include two sons, Raymond and Claude both of Roachdale; two grandsons; two granddaughters, and a great granddaughter, also of Roachdale. One daughter preceded her in death. Funeral services will be conducted in the Chastain Funeral Home in Roachdale at 2 p.m. Monday with burial in Roachdale Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home
