CROSBY, Donald Anderson - WWII

Donald Anderson Crosby, 75, Route 2, Roachdale, died Tuesday evening at Putnam County Hospital. He was the son of Fred P. and Rose Crosby. Mr. Crosby married the former Juanita Edwards at Martinsville on May 22,1948, and she survives. A former Jackson Township trustee for eight years, Mr. Crosby also served as a deputy township assessor for 16 years. He was also a past member of the Putnam County Welfare Board and served in both the U S. Army and Air Force in World War II. Other survivors include three sisters, Ina Mae Page, Roachdale, Ressie Hawkins, North Salem, and Geneva Forrest, Indianapolis, and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Servies and Morgan Funeral Home, Roachdale. Interment will be in the Roachdale Cemetery. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Thursday. – kbz
