ROACHDALE – Services were conducted Monday at the Roachdale Presbyterian Church for Claude “Deke” Crosby, 80, of Roachdale, who died Friday in Hendricks County Hospital at Danville. He was a member of the church, Masonic Lodge, Eastern Star, Murat Shrine, Scottish Rite of Indianapolis and American Legion at Greencastle. He was a member of Delta Tau Delta Social Fraternity and a graduate of Purdue University. Mr. Crosby was a retired farmer and a veteran of World I. He was born in Roachdale on Dec. 5, 1897, a son of Charles H. and Eva Edwards Crosby. He was married to Dorothy Wright on Dec. 22, 1929. She survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Earl (Joanne) Miller of Roachdale and Mrs. Richard (Sandra) Hodges of Buffalo Grove, Ill., and four grandchildren.   --– jlr
