COX, Ellsworth - Putnam

Coroner McNeff concluded the inquest as to the cause of the death of Ellsworth Cox, on Monday and his verdict in substance as follows: Deceased had been drinking in this city on Friday night Sept 23; that his body was found on the morning of Sept 24 on the roadway of the I&St. L RR the wounds upon the body of deceased indicate that he had been struck and killed by a railroad locomotive on said railroad, about one mile and a half west of this city
