Mrs. Mary F. Cowgill, widow of Commissioner Elisha Cowgill died Monday at her home east of the city. Her age was 76 years. The funeral will occur Wednesday with interment at Forest Hill Cemetery.

The funeral of Mrs. EP Cowgill occurred this morning. Deceased was born in Shelby County, KY August 19, 1820 and died June 24, 1895, being 74 years 10 months and 5 days old. She moved to Putnam County when five years of age and settled on what is known as the Lockridge farm east of the city. Her maiden name was Mary F. Talbott and was married to Elisha P. Cowgill Aug 1, 1839 and 12 children were born to them. Mr. Cowgill died three years ago last January. The funeral services were conducted at the home this morning by Rev. DM Wood, with interment at Forest Hill Cemetery.
