COWGILL, Henry - Putnam

A special from Chillicothe, Mo dated August 26 says: Judge Henry Cowgill, a bachelor and prominent here for 30 years died last night after a long illness, aged 52 years. He was Justice of the Peace six years, Probate Judge eight year and County Clerk four years, retiring from the latter office last January. He was born in Greencastle, Ind, where his father, Judge John Cowgill, deceased, was for many years an eminent jurist.
