A railroad laborer, whose identity was unknown at the time, died of epilepsy on a wagon which was being used as an ambulance in the dray shed at Cloverdale Sunday evening. The man’s name is believed to be William Cory. His home is unknown. Cory had been employed as a laborer at the Vaughn & Son Railroad work, near Cataract where a Monon extension is being built. He was sent from the camp to the hospital at Terre Haute last November while suffering the disease and a few weeks ago was sent back as cured. Saturday, however, he was attacked with the disease again. A wagon was secured Sunday and he was sent to Cloverdale. He suffered three convulsions on the way to Cloverdale. He died during a convulsion soon after arriving in Cloverdale. The wagon on which he was lying was then in the draymen’s shed. The man was to have been sent to Terre Haute on the next train. The body was taken to the Sandy Cline & Sunday Undertaking room where it is being held in hope that some relatives of the man will be found. Mr. Vaughn will attend to the funeral if no relatives are found. – kbz
