Emory C. Copus died at his home, one mile northeast of Waveland Wednesday at 11:15 after an illness of several weeks. He was the son of Van and Sarah Copus and was born in Tennessee, Dec 18, 1861. When he was quite young his parents moved to Kentucky. He came to Indiana in 1897. His first wife was Sarah Grimbeley who died in 1891. To them were born two daughters, Mrs. Alex Moore of this place and Mrs. Minter Williams of Agricola, Kan. Nov 22, 1892, he was married to Mallia Waller of Glasgow, Ky who with five daughters survive. When he was 20 years old and living in Kentucky he became a member of the Methodist Episcopal Church and afterwards transferred his membership to the Pisgah Church south of Russellville. – k
