Helen Mae Cooper, 78 of Cloverdale, died from natural causes Oct 19, 1999 at Putnam County Hospital in Greencastle. Born June 8, 1921, in Barnard, Ind, she was the daughter of George O. McCloud who died May 24, 1972 and Elva G. (Garard) McCloud who died Jan 15, 1967. She married James C. Cooper. He died Oct 2, 1997. Mrs. Cooper had been an inspector for Link—Best/FMC in Indianapolis. Survivors include 7 daughters: Louise Thomas of Richmond, VA; Laura Cooper and Lorraine Pryor, both of Cloverdale; Lydia Zeller of Greencastle, Linda Sigler of Mooresville, Kathy Couch of Scottsburg and Delores Hanson of Federal Way, VA: 8 sons, Louis Faletic of Clayton, Larry Faletic of Teutopolisl, Ill; Lynn Faletic, Lee Faletic and James Cooper, all of Cloverdale; Kenneth Cooper of Indianapolis, John Cooper of Denver, Colo and Ronnie Cooper of Clayton; two sisters, Louellen McKamey of Nashville, Tenn and Marian Wiser of Ramona, Calif; two brother, Glenn McCloud of Mooresville and Jerry McCloud of Monrovia; 37 grandchildren and 35 great grandchildren. A sister, Dorothey “Toni” Yalmokas, preceded her in death April 24, 1996. The service will be 2 p.m., Friday at Whitaker Funeral Home, Cloverdale. The Rev. Tim Davis will officiate. Burial will be in Cloverdale Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. today at the funeral home in Cloverdale. – kbz
