Russellville, Ind – Services for Donald F. Cooper, 90, Russellville, a retired teacher, principal and business owner will be 10:30 a.m. July 11 in Russellville Community Church of which he was a member with calling there from 4-8 p.m. July 10. Burial will be in Hebron Cemetery. He died July 8. Mr. Cooper was a teacher and principal more than 30 years at Waveland and Russellville high schools, retiring in 1971. He also had owned an International Harvester dealership in Russellville for 25 years. A graduate of DePauw and Indiana universities he was a member of the Emeritus Club of IU and Russellville Masonic Lodge. He was the widower of Mary Louise Call Cooper. Survivors daughters Beverly Barnhart, Betty Brown Chaney; brother Harold Cooper; 7 grandchildren, six great grandchildren. Machledt & Servies Funeral Home, Waveland is handling arrangements. - kbz

Donald Franklin Cooper, 90, of Russellville died from natural
causes July 8, 1996 at his residence. Born March 8, 1906 in Mellott, he was a
son of the late Emery Franklin and Alma Hyatt Cooper. He married Mary Louise Call on May 18, 1929
in Pontiac, Mich. She died Sept 19, 1992.
Cooper was a graduate of Clinton Center HS and received a bachelor of
science degree from DePauw University and a master’s degree from Indiana
University. He was an International Harvester dealer for over 25 years. He
taught school and served as principal at Russellville and Waveland schools for
more than 30 years. Cooper was a basketball referee and coach for many
years. He was a member of the
Russellville Community Church, Russellville Masonic Lodge, Indiana Retired
Teachers Association and Emeritus Club at Indiana University. Survivors include
two daughters, Beverly Barnhart of Russellville and Betty Brown Chaney of
Morgantown; a brother, Harold Cooper of Waterford, Mich; 7 grandchildren and 6
great grandchildren. A brother preceded him in death. His service was this
morning at the Russellville Community Church. The Rev. Bill Neiman officiated.
Burial was at the Hebron Cemetery in Russellville. - kbz
