CONKWRIGHT, Clay - Putnam

At 7 o'clock on Monday morning occurred the death of Clay Conkwright, whose injury from a horse's kick was mentioned last week. From the first his suffering was intense and at no time were very strong hopes of his recovery entertained, although he seemed to be a little stronger on Saturday.  The injury was to his stomach.  The funeral services occurred today at 10 o'clock at Brick Chapel.  A large number of the young man's friends in this city attended.   --- kbz

Fincastle news – Clay Conkright, who was kicked by a horse last week, died Monday morning. The family have the sympathy of the entire community in their sad affliction.
