COLSON, Elmer - Putnam

Howard Colson of Hillsboro who was on a business trip to St. Louis Monday received word of the sudden death of his father, Elmer Colson, 62, a retired farmer.  Mr. Colson had been ill for several days with pneumonia and his death was due to a heart attack.  He died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Gordon Marks of Tangier where he was cared for.  He was born Feb 14, 1877 south of Rockville and his wife, Maude Cory, preceded him in death.  He is survived by five children, Mrs. Ferris Theath, Mrs. Gordon Marks and Thurman Colson all of Tanger; Howard Colson, Hillsboro and Mrs. Roy Sherrill of Oklahoma    ---transcribed by kbz
