COHN, John - Putnam

Roachdale, Feb 10 – Three members of a family died at this place during the last three days from influenza.  John Cohn of Greencastle who came to care for his son Fred L. Cohn and his wife who were ill with the malady died from the disease Saturday night. Fred L. Cohn died Saturday night and his wife died on Friday night. Fred L. Cohn was superintendent of the local schools and was a prominent citizen. The father contracted the disease soon after coming here to attend his son. Only a small son of Mr. and Mrs. FL Cohn survives, the epidemic wiping out the remainder of the family. This is one of the saddest cases in this neighborhood caused by influenza.
