Orvill Coffman, age 24 who lives south of Cloverdale and who was well-known there was killed at near midnight Saturday night at Bloomington when he fell under a northbound freight train.  He leaves a wife and infant child.  The funeral was in Cloverdale Monday afternoon at 2 o’clock.  Orvill Coffman was the son of Mr. and Mrs. William C. Coffman and was employed as a section hand on the Monon at Wallace Junction.  He had gone to Bloomington Saturday night with several other section m4n and had started home when the accident occurred.  In attempting to board northbound train, he fell under the wheels and was killed.  His body was cut in two by the car wheels. - transcribed by kbz
