COFFMAN, Jim - Putnam

Jim Coffman aged 38 who lives near Fillmore left his house Thursday morning at about 8 o’clock saying that he was going to hunt rabbits.  His body was found some time later lying in the orchard with an empty revolver near. There seemed to be no cause for such an act according to the statements made by his relatives and it would seem that it was purely an accident. Coffman has been in this city quite often and his many friends are much surprised to hear the sad news. - kbz
