A body of a dead man found on the Vandalia tracks just west of Clayton Wednesday morning, has been identified as that of Alonzo Coffman, age 28, a son of John S. Coffman of Floyd Township and a former resident of this city. Coffman had been struck by a train. Both legs were cut off and practically every bone in the body was broken. The body was taken to a Clayton undertaking establishment and later brought to Hanna’s Undertaking establishment in this city. The funeral will be held at the Mt. Pleasant Church tomorrow morning at 11 o’clock. Burial in the Mt. Pleasant cemetery, Rev. OL Jones of this city will officiate. Coffman had been employed as a farm hand by Manuel Cassidy of Coatesville. He had spent Christmas Day in Indianapolis and was on his way home when killed. He was seen at the Clayton interurban station Tuesday night about midnight. That was the last seen of him while alive. It is supposed that he started
