CLODFELTER, Wilber O. - Putnam

GREENCASTLE – Wilber O. Clodfelter, 71, former Putnam County treasurer, died Saturday in Robert Long Hospital at Indianapolis. Born Sept. 27, 1881, in Clinton Falls, Mr. Clodfelter operated a general store in Morton for a number of years. He served two terms as county treasurer and one term as deputy auditor. He also was with the Federal Land Bank for a number of years. Survivors include the wife, Mrs. Violet Clodfelter; two daughters, Mrs. Maxine Callender of Bradenton, Fla., and Mrs. Maxine Voris of Indianapolis; a son, Hubert Clodfelter of Detroit, Mich., and a brother, Glenn Clodfelter of Lafayette. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday in the Union Chapel Methodist Church, with burial in the cemetery near the church. Friends may call at the Whitaker Funeral Home in Greencastle. – jlr
