CLODFELTER, Mary Virginia Brothers - Putnam

Roachdale - Mary V. Clodfelter, 60, died at 7:15 p.m. Thursday in Culver Hospital at Crawfordsville after a short illness. She was a daughter of Landy & Maude Bridges Brothers and was born June 16, 1909. She married Dennis Clodfelter on March 22, 1930. He preceded her in death. A graduate of Roachdale HS she attended Indiana State and taught two years at Grider School. She was a member of Fincastle Community Church and Fincastle Country Club. Surviving are a son, Gene of Russellville; a daughter, Mrs. Sue Carrell of New Ross; her mother of Roachdale; two brothers, Joe of Roachdale and Charles of Indianapolis; a sister, Mrs. Betty Lawrence of Indianapolis; six grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Saturday at Fincastle church where the body will lie in state beginning at 1 p.m. Rev. Lester Niles will officiate. Interment will be in Hebron Cemetery near Russellville. The family asks donations be made to the Cancer Fund.
