MRS. LAURA CLODFELTER OF ROCKVILLE DIES

Mrs. Laura May Clodfelter of Rockville, age 80, died in the hospital at Clinton Wednesday morning March 4. She was a member of the Christian church.

Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Lenora Harpold of Rockville r. r. 4, Mrs. Helen Sage of Greencastle r. r. 3, Mrs. Doris Ricketts of Marion and Mrs. Janice Owend of Marshall r. r. ;
five sons, Bert of Rockville r. r. 3, Fred and Thomas of Greencastle r. r. 3, Donald of Rockville r. r. 4 and Frank of K. I. Sawyer AFB, Mich.; three sisters. Mrs. Maude Clifford of Gary, Mrs. Betty Alexander and Mrs. Dorothy Trump, both of Greencastle; 45 grandchildren and 75 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at the Tudor funeral home with Rev. William Tucker officiating. Burial was in the Hebron cemetery near Russellville.

Mrs. Laura May Clodfelter, 80, 511 North Virginia Street, Rockville, died yesterday morning at Vermillion County Hospital. She was born In Putnam County April 8, 1889, the daughter of James Pierce and Florence Hamble.

She married Ross Franklin Clodfelter December 10, 1906. He preceeded her in death in 1956. Mrs. Clodfelter had lived the last 20 years of her life in Rockville, where she was a member of the Christian Church.

Surviving are five sons, Bert, Rockville, Fred, Greencastle, Thomas, Greencastle, Donald, Rockville and Frank, K. I. Sawyer Air Force Base, Upper Peninsula, Michigan; four daughters, Mrs. Harold (Lenora) Harpold, Rockville, Mrs. Charles (Helen) Sage, Greencastle, Mrs. Merle (Doris) Ricketts, Marion, and Mrs. Robert (Janice) Owens, Marshall; 45 grandchildren; 75 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Maude Clifford, Gary, Mrs. Lawrence (Betty) Alexander, Greencastle, and Mrs. Dorthy Trump, Greencastle; and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Clodfelter was preceded in death by one brother, ?? sisters, two sons, and one daughter.

Services will be conducted at the Tudor Funeral Home in Russellville on Saturday at 1 p. m., Rev. William Tucker, officiating. Interment will be at Hebron cemetary near Russellville.

Friends may call after 2 p. m. Friday.

Rockville - Laura May Clodfelter, 80, of 511 N. Virginia Street, a resident of this community the last 20 years died at 10:05 a.m. Wednesday in Vermillion County Hospital at Clinton. She was a daughter of James and Florence Hamble Pierce and born April 8, 1889 in Putnam County. She married Ross Franklin Clodfelter on December 10, 1906. He died in 1956. Mrs. Clodfelter was a member of the Christian Church. Survivors include five sons, Bert of Rt. 3, Rockville; Fred and Thomas of Rt. 3, Greencastle, Donald of Rt. 4, Rockville and Frank stationed at KI Sawyer AFB, Mich; four daughters, Mrs. (Lenora) Harold Harpold of Rt. 4, Rockville; Mrs. (Helen) Charles Sage of Rt. 3, Greencastle; Mrs. (Doris) Merle Ricketts of Marion and Mrs. (Janice) Robert Owens of Rt. 1, Marshall, 45 grandchildren and 75 great grandchildren. Also surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Maude Clifford of Gary; Mrs. Betty (Lawrence) Alexander of Greencastle and Mrs. Dorothy Trump of Greencastle and nieces and nephews. Two sons, a daughter, a brother and two sisters are deceased. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Saturday at Tudor Funeral Home in Rockville where friends may call after 2 p.m. Friday. Rev. William Tucker will officiate and burial will be in Hebron Cemetery near Russellville.
