George CLODFELTER, age 88 years died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Etta Gardner Saturday morning at 11 o'clock. "Uncle George" as he was known to all, was a life-long resident of the Russellville community. He was born Oct 18, 1854 in Russellville, son of Noah and Sallie Clodfelter. He was first married Jan 5, 1876 to Sarah Ellen Taylor. To this union three daughters were born - Mrs. Etta Gardner, Mrs. Bertha Hodgkin and Mrs. Bessie Robinson all of whom survive. Following the death of his first wife, he married May 13, 1897 to Mary Ellen Crodian who passed away on Feb 8, 1904. Mr. Clodfelter was a member of the Russellville Christian Church and of the local Masonic Lodge. Survivors besides the 3 daughters are four grandchildren and 7 greats. Funeral services were held at the Russellville CHristian Church and of the local Masonic Lodge. Survivors besides the 3 daughtesr are 4 grandchildren and 7 greats. Funeral services were held at the Russellville Christian Church Monday afternoon at 2 conducted by pastor Rev. George Smith. Ernest Wilson, Paul Hester, Mrs. Edna Scribner and Mrs. Roasie Spencer sang three selections with Mrs. Floyd Gardner at the paino. Pall beaerers were Alvan Clodfelter; Paul McGaughey; Otis Clodfelter; Turner Harbison; Gene Grimes and Elva Norman. Flower bearers were Olin Leonard, Frank Kennedy, Ray Whitson, Harry Ramsay and Robert E. Dragoo. The Masonic Lodge members attended in a body and funeral and burial rites of the .. were given. Burial in Hebron Cemetery.
