Elmer A. CLODFELTER of near Russellville died Monday afternoon at Culver Hospital in Crawfordsville. He was 70. He was born in Putnam Co April 24, 1886, son of Daniel Newton and Laura Collins Clodfelter. He was married to Betty Sewell. He had been a farmer in Putnam Co. all his life and was a member of the Russellville Christian Church. He is survived by his wife, six sons: Howard, Lloyd and Donald of Indianapolis; Lyle and William David of Morton and Wilalrd of Clinton Falls; two brothers, Oscar Clodfelter near Russellville and Clyde of Columbus, Ohio and a sister, Mrs. Eric McBride, Rockville. Funeral services were held Wednesday at 2:30 at Union Chapel Church west of Morton, Rev. Bob Lewis of Indianapolis officiating. Burial in Hebron Cemetery near Russellville.

Elmer CLODFELTER, 69, well known Russell Township farmer, passed away Monday afternoon at Culver Hospital in Crawfordsville, following an extended illness. mr. Clodfelter was born in Russell Township on April 24, 1886 the son of Daniel newton and Laura Collings Clodfelter. He spent his entire lifetime in his home community and was a member of the Russellville Christian Church. he is survived by the widow, Betty; six sons, Howard, Lloyd, Donald, Willard, Lyle and William two brothers, Oscar and Clyde one sister, Mrs. Elsie McBride and 12 grandchildren. A son, Kenneth preceded him in death April 10, 1950. Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. DST Wednesday at Union Chapel Church west of Morton. Rev. Robert Lewis of Indianapolis was in charge. Burial was in Hebron cemetery.
