Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon from the Roachdale Presbyterian church for Mrs. Stella Ruth Clark, 37, who died Thursday in her home in Roachdale, after a long illness. Daughter of George A. and Lelia Myers Thompson, Mrs. Clark was born in Ladoga, April 27, 1911. She graduated from Roachdale High School in 1919. On October 18, she was married to John Clark. She was a member of the Presbyterian church and the Eastern Star. Survivors include the husband; two sons, Philip, 12 and Roger, 9; the parents; a sister, Mrs. John Radford and four brothers, Herman and Sherman Thompson, both of Roachdale, Earl of New Castle and James of Wadsworth, Ill. Rev. Malcolm Harris was in charge of funeral services and a burial was in Roachdale cemetery. A program of organ music was played by Eugene Hutchins. A solo "I Love You Truly" was sung by Eston Cooper and a duet "Perfect Rest" was sung by Mrs. Howard Myers and Mrs. Cooper. Pall bearers were Don Henley, Robert Myers, Blaze Robertson, Galen Irwin, Leon Williams and Audrey Modlin. Flower bearers were Mrs. Leon Williams, Mrs. Ora McKinley, Irene Galloway, Geraldine Stewart, Mary Meggenhardt, Bonnie Meece, Beulah Boling, Mary Riggle, Elsie Thompson, Ethel Radford, Lucile Harshbarger, Mary Elloween Young, Dorothy Myers, Helen Jeffries, Helen Wilson, Irene Hanna, Annabelle Myers, Mildred Gwaltney, Juanita Hanna, Esther Byrd, Mable Irwin, Esther Rice, Nellie Jones, Opal Crosby, Merle Henley, Helen Hanna Burdine Modlin, Mrs. Elmer Young, Mrs. Blaze Robertson, Mrs. Earl Etcheson, Clyde Eads, Hazel Lovett, Mrs. Burkett Goslin, Mrs. Cecil Click, Betty Leak, Betty Robertson, Grade Moore, Irene Clark, Martha Stewart, Lois Green, Betty Lou Suiter and Mary Stewart.
