DEATH CLAIMS ALONZO CLAPP
New Richmond, Dec. 15
(Special) – Alonzo Clapp, 75, a retired farmer, died of uremic poisoning at 7 o’clock this morning at the home of his son, Lawrence Clapp, one mile south of here. He was born at Bismark, Ill., on Jan. 14, 1858. Besides Lawrence, he is survived by one other son, Merrill, also of New Richmond; two sisters, Mrs. C. E. Markson, of Danville, Ill.; and Mrs. Sam Adams, of Marshfield, Ind.; one brother, Daniel, of Oakwood, Ill., and two granddaughters. Funeral services will be conducted at the Lawrence Clapp residence Sunday morning at 10:30 o’clock, with the Rev. A. B. Coates, of the New Richmond M. E. church, officiating. The body will be taken to Oakwood, Ill., for burial.
