CLAMPITT, John W. - Putnam

John W. Clampitt, 52, died at his home south of here Saturday evening. funeral services were held at Chastain funeral home Tuesday morning, with burial in Roachdale cemetery. Born near Heltonville, Indiana, March 22, 1885, the son of James and Sally Henderson Clampitt. In 1908 he married Emma Hunter, who survives. Other survivors are son, Ralph and two daughters, Verona and Viola all at home near here; three brothers; Elmer and W.E. Clampitt both of Indianapolis and Thornton Clampitt of Heltonville and a sister, Mrs. Luella Bohne of San Francisco, California.   --- thanks so much to Marilyn Walker for sharing her Roachdale Times obituary collection :) kbz
