CHEW, Velma Hassler - Putnam

Brazil, Ind – Mrs. Velma Chew, 68, Reelsville, died at 8 p.m. Tuesday in the Putnam County Hospital at Greencastle. She is survived by a son, Frank, Reelsville; three daughters, Mrs. Gene Wright, Plainfield, Mrs. William Phillips and Mrs. Frank Kendall, both of Reelsville; four brothers, Roy Hassler of West Virginia; Ross of Terre Haute; Forest and Paul Hassler all of Terre Haute; two sisters, Mrs. Gertrude Tucker, Lebanon and Mrs. Olive Craver, Greencastle and 19 grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Miller & Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Dallas Rissler officiating. Burial will be in Boone-Hutchinson Cemetery. - kbz
