Oct 29 – Funeral services will be held at the Masonic Temple here Tuesday for
A. Raymond Chenoweth, age 47, prominent business man. Mr. Chenoweth, Republican Candidate for
Auditor of Putnam County died in a hospital here Sunday. He was born near
Eminence, Morgan County, and was a world war veteran. He was a Knight Templar,
an Odd Fellow and had served several terms as Republican County Chairman. The
widow, a son and daughter survive. - kbz

Allen R. Chenowith, 46, died Sunday morning at Putnam Co. Hospital. The funeral was Tuesday afternoon, with burial at Forest Hill cemetery. He was born in Eminence in Morgan Co., Indiana. He came to Greencastle 15 years ago. Survivors are the widow; a son, Eugene; his mother, Mrs. Lydia Chenowith of Cartersburg, three Brothers, Steven L., Thomas of Greencastle; three sisters; Mrs. Dolly McKamey, Clayton, Mrs. Golda Boyd, Seattle, Washington, and Mrs. Alma Kenworthy, Noblesville. - thanks so much to Marilyn Walker for sharing her Roachdale Times obituary collection --- kbz
