ROACHDALE – Casper Cleo Chastain, 75, died Sunday in Hendricks County Hospital at Danville. Mr. Chastain was a veteran of World War II and a member of the Masonic Lodge, Queen Beach Day Lodge 540 of Long Beach, Calif., and Wayne Post 64 of American Legion. Born Dec. 12, 1900, in Washington County, he was the son of John M. and Mary Tuell Chastain. Surviving are his wife, Alberta; two sons, Hassel of Fowler and Cleo of Roachdale; two daughters, Margurette McBride of Roachdale and Betty Douglas of Crawfordsville; a brother, Merle of Campbellsburg, Ind.; 24 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren. Mr. Chastain was preceded in death by a son, Orville Ray. Services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Wednesday in Perkins Funeral Home at Roachdale with the Rev. Frank Bunn officiating. Burial will be in Floral Park Cemetery at Indianapolis. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. today. – jlr
