The death of Miss Susan Lucretia Chapin, eldest daughter of the late Lucuis R. and Sarah Chapin, occurred at Indianpylis (sic) this morning. The remains will be brought to this city for burial. Funeral services at the family residence, corner Poplar & Indiana Streets, Wednesday Jan 8 in the afternoon. Funeral private. - kbz

Miss Susan Chapin died at Indianapolis on Jan 7 after a long sickness. The remains were brought here for interment and the funeral took place from the residence of the sisters of the deceased on Wednesday. --– kbz
