DIED at the residence of her brother-in-law Mr. McClellan, No 13 East New York Street, Indianapolis Jan 14, Miss Sallie R. Chapin. Thus would read a brief notice of one well-known, loved and honored by all who knew her. Something farther however should be said of her and of her heroic patient self-sacrifice to avoid giving pain or causing apprehension in the hearts of friends. Some two years ago, while cultivating her flowers of which she was very fond, she sprained her foot in lifting a few pounds of sand. So small an apparent cause gave her great pain and ended in ? of the gone, requiring a surgical (rest is a black blurr)
