CHADD, Edna Collings - Putnam

Mrs. Edna Collings Chadd, age 58 years, well known Bainbridge woman, died Saturday night at the Putnam County Hospital, where she has been confined for several weeks. Mrs. Chadd was born near Bainbridge Nov 5, 1883, the daughter of Archibald and Elnore Collings. SHe was a member of the Bainbridge Methodist Church and Eastern Star Lodge. Survivors are three sons, Clyde Chadd of Indianapolis, Archie Chadd, basketball coach at Anderson and Howard Chadd of Muncie; two brothers, Dolby Collings of Bainbridge and Joe Collings of Indianapolis; two grandchildren, Billy and Bobby Chadd of Anderson; several cousins and other relatives. Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Bainbridge Methodist Church in charge of Dr. ER Bartlett of Greencastle. Interment will be made in the Bainbridge cemetery. The casket will be open at the church one hour preceding the services. Friends may call at the Sands Funeral Home until 1p.m. Tuesday.
