GREENCASTLE – Mrs. Laura Alice Cassity, 91, of Rt. 1, Greencastle, died Thursday in Culver Hospital at Crawfordsville. She was a member of Groveland Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Cassity was born at Groveland on Aug. 5, 1885, a daughter of Douglas and Susan Myers Eggers. She married Ambrose Cassity in 1904 and he died in 1962. Surviving are a son Byron of South Dakota; three daughters, Mrs. Opal Cooper of Greencastle, Mrs. Ruby Games of Bainbridge and Mrs. Doris DeVine of California; 21 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Hopkins Funeral Home at Bainbridge with the Rev. Ralph Finchum officiating. Burial will be in New Maysville Cemetery.
