Ivan Carrington, the only son of Mr. and Mrs. Wint Carrington of Guion was killed at Clermont by a Ben Hur car on Sunday morning. Mr. Carrington was employed at the Girls' School. He and Mrs. Carrington were going to her mother's home for dinner. The car stalled on the track just as a car was approaching. Mrs. Carrington and the child got out and escaped injury. Mr. Carrington tried to get the car off the track and was near the front fender when struck. His neck was broken and one leg cut off. Mr. Wint Carrington was at Dana at the bedside of his father who is seriously ill when the news came. Ivan attended the Waveland schools graduating with the class of 1914.
