Frankfort – Artus R. Carney, 70, Rt 6, died at 3:45 p.m. Thursday in Brown Christian Nursing Home at Michigantown after a long illness.  A resident of Clinton County most of his life, Mr. Carney was associated with Ingram-Richardson Co. here for about 40 years.  He was a member of the Brethren in Rossville.  In 1915 he was married to Clara L. Wilson who died in 1930 and in 1931 he was married to Virlia Lee Ramsey who died in 1950.  He was married to Ethel Campbell in 1951. Surviving with the widow are a son, Arthur R. Carney, Jr, Frankfort; four daughters: Mrs. Irene Phillips of Frankfort, Mrs. Florence Howe of Rt 6, Lafayette; Mrs. Betty Durham of Elwood and Mrs. Anna Mae Shrum of Indianapolis; a sister, Mrs. Lula Mason, Rt 4, Frankfort and three brothers, Alton Carney, Rt 4 and Ivan and Lloyd Carney both of Frankfort.
