Word has been received here of the death of Carroll C. "Bud" Canine, 84, of Orlando and formerly of Russellville. He died Jan 29. Mr. Canine had a lifetime career of advertising department management with newspapers which included the Elkhart, Ind Truth and the Evansville Ind Courier-Press and retired in 1977 fro the Reading Eagle Times at Reading, PA. He was active in the Newspaper Advertising Managers Associations in Indiana and Pennsylvania, serving as president of both. He also served in various positions in the Optimist Clubs and the Elks. He was a graduate of New Market HS and attended Russellville College. He was born July 8, 1912 at Russellville. Survivors include a son, Michael of Metro West, Fla; two grandchildren, two great grandchildren, a nephew and two nieces. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Kathryn "Kate" in May 1988. The body will be cremated and will be buried at Indian Creek Cemetery.
