Kankakee, Ill April 1 – Judge Chas. B. Campbell of the 12th Illinois judicial circuit court died at a hospital in this city today after an illness of three months caused by gall stones. He was a grandson of James and Priscilla Campbell who lived on a farm north of Crawfordsville, Ind until their death several years ago. His father was Winfield Scott Campbell who was born in Montgomery County but who moved to Illinois during his boyhood. Judge Campbell was married in 190 to Miss Nina Bond of Indianapolis, Ind. From 1889 to 1892 he attended DePauw University at Greencastle. Later he entered Northwestern university and received his AB degree from that institution in 1894. He was granted the degree of LL (smudged) in 1897. - kbz
