CALLENDER, Sarah - Putnam

Mrs. Sarah Callender, age 84 years, an old resident of this city and the widow of the late William Callender, died at her home on south Indiana street about 9 o’clock Monday night her death resulting from a stroke of paralysis. The funeral services will be held at the home Wednesday afternoon at 2 o’clock; burial in the Forest Hill cemetery. Rev. Tillotson, pastor of the College Avenue Church will officiate. Mrs. Callender is survived by four sons: HR Callender, George Callender, EE Callender and William Callender, all residents of this city. She also leaves three grandchildren, two of whom live in Boston and one in NY. They are children of a daughter who died several years ago. Mrs. Callender’s husband was in the contracting business here for a number of years. - kz
