BYRD, Albert Lawrence - Putnam

RUSSELLVILLE

Albert Lawrence Byrd, for most of his life a truck driver, died at his home in Newport, Ky., Friday.

He was a member of the Russellville Christian Church and had served in the U.S. Army. Born June 17, 1912, he was a son of William and Delia Byrd. His father survives.

Other survivors include the widow, Marian; three sisters, Mrs. Margaret Helwig of Danville, Ill., Mrs. Alberta Higgins of Phoenix, Ariz., and Mrs. Ruth Greggs of Brownsburg; a brother, Kenneth Byrd of Rolling Prairie, Ind., and aunts and uncles.

Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in McGaughey & Son Funeral Home at Russellville with Rev. Leo Thompson officiating. Burial will be in Russellville Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. today.   ---waw
