BUTLER, James T. - Putnam

FM Lyon of this city has received word to the effect that Jas. T. Butler formerly of Putnam County and a cousin of Mr. Lyon’s was fatally injured in the big wreck on the Santa Fe railroad at Emporia, Kans.  Mr. Butler moved from this county Cottonwood Falls, Kans and at the time of his death was county attorney of Chase County in which his home was situated. One of his hips was broken in the smash-up and internal injuries received cause his death within a short time. He was a son of Thomas Butler. - kz
