BURNSIDES, Orlena J. Miller - Putnam

Orlena J. MILLER BURNSIDES was born in Parke County, Ind. on November 12, 1852. She lived in the vicinity in which she was born until her marriage to William Thomas BURNSIDES on April 15, 1874. She spent her married life on a farm near Portland Mills; about three years ago she moved to Russellville and lived with her daughter Mrs.carrie KENNEDY, where she died August 16, 1931, aged 78 years 9 months and four days. She was the mother of six children - three of whom with their father - preceded her in death. Survivors are three children: George BURNSIDES, Laura BURNSIDES and Carrie KENNEDY, 10 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, one sister Mrs. Loretta THOMPSON of Colorado Springs, Col., a half brother A. L. MILLER of Terre Haute and a half-sister of Greencastle.
