The death of Tracy Burnett, age 33, a son of a former Greencastle shoe merchant, and a former DePauw student, occurred at his home in Anderson Friday following an extended illness. Mr. Barnett left Greencastle when a boy of about 9 years of age but returned in his young manhood to attend DePauw. After attending school here he went to Anderson where he engaged in the wholesale paper business. About 23 weeks ago he was stricken with typhoid fever which was followed by complications. He never was able to leave his bed from the time he was taken ill. The funeral and burial will be in Anderson. Mr. Burnett was a member of Beta Theta Pi fraternity and prominent in DePauw affairs while a student in DePauw. He leaves a widow, who also was a DePauw student, her maiden name being Miss Nell Fudge. Mrs. Burnett was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority.
