BURNETT, Charles W. - Putnam

Charles W. Burnett, 75, Rockville, stepfather of Mrs. Dorothy Mitchell of Waveland, suffered a fatal heart attack 4:30 p.m. Monday while in a wheat field on the farm. A farmer all his life until a year ago, he retired from the farm and moved to Rockville, although he still remained in close touch with the farm. He is survived by the widow, Ora, one stepson, Max Martin of Rockville; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Dorothy Mitchell, Waveland and Mrs. Madge Boyd of Thorntown; one sister, Mrs. Grace Ransom of Decatur, Ill; 9 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. The body was taken to the Branson Funeral Home where services were held at 3:00 Wednesday afternoon, Rev. Hugh Craven officiated and burial in Mt. Moriah Cemetery.
