Walter D. BURKS, 73, died Sunday at the Putnam County hospital. He was born and reared near Reelsville. His wife Cora FOGLES BURKS preceded him in death in 1953. Survivors are three sons, Prof. Richard BURKS of Frankfort, Germany, Prof. Arthur BURKS of Ann Arbor, Michigan, and Prof. David BURKS of Washington D.C. a daughter Elizabeth JOHNSON of Tulsa, Okla., three sisters Mary BURKS, Mrs. Forest STANLEY and Mrs. Roy MINTER all of Fillmore, and ten grandchildren.
