BURK, Noel Dwight - Putnam

Noel Dwight Burk, son of John T. and Ella Burk was born May 22, 1910 and died July 9, 1910; age one month and 16 days.  Noel darling, you have gone from our household’s happy throng; you have left us forever more to join those on the happy shore. There is sorrow in our heart as parted loved ones you have departed. But when the golden sun is high, we will meet you bye and bye.  Weary days and nights have we since your dear little face we cannot see; God so loved and took away Noel dear on this summer day. The sweetest, sacred spot on earth that memory holds not dear, is but a myrtle covered mound but Noel is sleeping there.  Softly the tears are gleaming upon a quiet grave; there sleepeth without dreaming one we loved but could not save. Sweet and peaceful be thy rest, forget you we can never God called up, He alone knows best. His will be done forever. - kz
